Hi all. I had planned on writing an emotional post on depression and creativity, but dude it’s Friday. I’ll save the self pity for another day. Today, I just want to post a few of my new favorite Business sites/blogs that I’m reading right now.
I’m new to a lot of these sites, but for whatever reason, I now include several “business/management/productivity” blogs in my daily reading. At first, I thought it was my perfectionist tendencies. I like things organized. I like things in numbered lists. Business blogs do it in style.
So often, and I’m the worst offender, I think of business people as sell outs. They are out only to make money. They only care about selling me some crappy plastic promise that will never live up to my expectations. All this is to say, that maybe — sometimes, momentarily, I could be wrong about business people. Like any and every occupation there are those that strive for greatness and those who strive to win by any means necessary.
I’m hoping these suggestions of my fav business blogs are the exception to my own rule. Business sites dream big and share tools to inspire your goal, whatever it is, to come to life. Enjoy.
- LifeHacker: A brilliant blog to help you organize everything in your life. Clean out your inbox. Use your calendar more effectively, etc. They also have great DIY projects — build a deck, or cut a mango.
- Diva Marketing Blog: Great suggestions on Blog marketing. Great Beginning Blog Strategy Toolkit.
- Pagan Girl in the Corporate World: Great humor about the worst boss in history I think. Also, asks great questions about being a woman in business.
- Signum Sine Tinnitu: Guy Kawasaki has written several bestselling business books. I love his work and value his advice and opinion. He doesn’t separate living a compassionate loving life with success. Currently, he has a great series of Top 10 Lists. Daily Read.
- Duct Tape Marketing: This site has a large fan base because it offers great advice on a variety of business issues. Great Recent Post on “How to Beat The Wall Mart.”
- Lip-Sticking: Marketing for women. Great booklist and a tip sheet of what women want!
The Next CEO could be you!

[...] Since we spend a lot of time here on bathingsuitplaces ranting and raving about gadgets I thought I would pass along this gem from Guy Kawaski (as I’ve said before he has one of the best business blogs out there in my opinion). [...]
