Something is up. We, the cultural prom jocks that once could brag about raping the earth, are beginning to self examine and ponder. And personally, I find it quite hurty.

It seems that on the heels of Al Gore’s candid and ascerbic film ‘An Inconvenient Truth‘, comes another indictment of the corporate mega-sloth mentality - ‘Who Killed The Electric Car?‘

Once upon a time General Motors developed a fairly nice electric car before the rush to hybrid vehicles. I never knew. For reasons of profit, they then proceeded to erase all evidence that they had done so, or so the film trailer speculates. Why?

I’ve spent all day in traffic. I’ve heard the engines racing, smelled the putrid exhast of my own oily addictions, and frankly, I could do with the silence of electric vehicles. A gentle and inobtrusive whine has been heard outside my house recently - I listened and thought, ‘what the heck is that? Ahh…yes…it’s the future!’

I wish I could afford one. I wish that we were so far along that we had discount pollution-free vehicle lots everywhere…
