I am not usually one to get excited about television and encourage people to watch it. Since I often fall victim to it’s siren call, I am aware of it’s addictive nature. Luckily, no one could have caught this deliciously subversive television event unless they were a voracious follower of C-Span, so I feel obliged to notify you of it.
The moment is a humdrum event turned topsy-turvy in Washington D.C, the White House Correspondents Dinner, held every year in our fair seat of government (where many people I’ve heard sit around a lot). The invited speaker is Stephen Colbert, of Comedy Central’s ‘Colbert Report’, who speaks candidly and humorously, but most of all, swings around the big brass balls that has made his show such a hit.
It’s funny, but longish (in three parts from YouTube), and if you only have time for a brief peek, make it the staged bit in which Stephen asserts he’d make a great press secretary. This bit was shown at the end of his speech to the assembled audience of correspondents, dignitaries and famous folk.

(edit: YouTube pulled all C-Span / Colbert related content due to copyright violation. Please notify us if this new link does not work.)
(PS- concerning the title of this blog post I refer you to this wiki for further information regarding the use of the term ‘pwn’.)
(PPS- followup: Read on about the non-fallout concerning Colbert’s performance)
