A Vacation from my Problems!
May 28th, 2006 · 1 Comment
Ok, so lapster has thrown down the gauntlet and is competitive about the number of posts we each put up — but here is the thing… I’m on Vacation!!!!!! New York and Washington DC this week. I think that is a worthy excuse for going silent on the blog.
I’m stepping away from the computer to [...]

Quantum Conundrum
May 28th, 2006 · No Comments
For the first time it seems, I am posting more than VTGirl, which pleases me. Hehehe.
But gloating is not what I’m about today.
I don’t necessarily agree with the premis of the film “What the Bleep Do We Know Anyway?” as the production credits include folks who are promoters/followers of the now debunked JZ Knight (a [...]

Which Corporations Suck?
May 26th, 2006 · No Comments
Just a quick promotion for hrc.org. The Human Rights Campaign puts out an index that rates companies and their openness to lesbian, gay and transgendered people.
The power of choice is the point of this index; for example if you ever have trouble deciding on the most PC of cat food companies: Iams rates very [...]

Father Tim Says - The Net Should Stay Neutral
May 26th, 2006 · No Comments
I never knew it, but in December of 2003 Tim Berners-Lee was awarded a knighthood for his lovely little hypertext programming language ‘HTML’ that changed the nature of the Net. In the late 1980’s, before he invented the language that makes it possible for you to read these words, there were no pictures or even [...]

This might make me run — well, almost!
May 25th, 2006 · No Comments
I promise this will not become a jog blog, but I have to have the Nike+!!! Your running sneakers work with your ipod to track your run. Distance, calories, and special playlists — then you download your results to the Nike website and keep a log of your workout.
The Nike+ comes out in July. Check [...]

1000 Hits!
May 24th, 2006 · No Comments
I know that the statistics of a 1000 hits on bathingsuitplaces is not necessarily without problems or conflicts. I mean a lot of the page downloads are the same people over and over, but who cares.
I’m celebrating!!!
P.S. You gotta check out Lapster’s new gallery (especially the flowers). They are amazing!

The Graveyard Shift
May 24th, 2006 · No Comments
I do have a morbid side. It’s true. I’ve also been trying to change some bad habits I have in my life including trying to let the daily stresses in life not get me down. For me, it is a tough goal.
I read this book Letting Go of the Person You Used to Be. It [...]

Surf’s Up
May 20th, 2006 · 1 Comment
Went to the California beach and saw these guys doing some scary surfing on the edge of Balboa Penninsula. Just next to a jetty, the surf gets pushed up pretty high because of the constriction of the beach against the rocks.
The video is over at YouTube.
Don’t Be Neutral!
May 20th, 2006 · No Comments
So here is what I am not: I’m not a web designer. I’m not a computer programmer. I’m not a techie geek (although I have aspirations to be so). I’m just a girl with a personal blog, but Net Neutrality affects everyone with an email address. I have had several of my computer [...]
